Liberty & Boutinot Portfolio Tasting

15th September 2017

What would be much better then spending your day surrounded by wine? Well being able to sample every single one of them and that is what I have been able to experience two times this week at the annual autumn portfolios for our suppliers.

We were invited up first on Tuesday to our Liberty portfolio wine tasting at the Oval Cricket Ground. The room was filled with excitable wine enthusiasts ready to find the next best thing for their store or restaurant! We wasted no time and headed over to the first sparkling and made our way through the fizz, whites and rose before stopping for a spot of lunch provided by Liberty Wines. Then no time to waste getting back  upstairs to sample the reds and find those winter warmers we are all looking for.

The fun didn’t stop there as only two days later on Thursday we shot back up to London to our Boutinot Autumn tasting, this time at Foyles Bookshop on Charing Cross Road. A much more intimate affair with a selection of limited parcels, new wines, best offers and new producers.

We found some great new wines that will be making an appearance on our wine list shortly. From Greek and Hungarian wines to great value chardonnays and syrah’s, we think we have successfully covered some good ground to accommodate everyone’s taste buds!
