25th great south run 2014

it’s that time of year again, the 25th great south run is here!

not only does that mean a very busy lunch for us but also an exciting abundance of people entering the city.

it’s such a pleasure for us locals to hold such a magnificent race and every year the event attracts a huge amount of athletes, celebrities and runners raising money for charity.

the 10 mile course means the runners get to see all of our historic landmarks including the dockyard, hms victory, the spinnaker tower and the cathedral.

and as always, we will be supporting our amazing staff including luke newton, kate mathias, mark andrew and arthur mason-callaway.

good luck, we will all be routing for you all!

are you tough enough?

today, some of our crazy staff are taking on the tough mudder challenge!

tough mudder is an endurance event series in which they will attempt to complete a 10–12-mile-long military-style obstacle courses.

designed and created by british special forces to test mental as well as physical strength, obstacles often play on common human fears, such as fire, water, electricity and heights.

crazy right?

it is, however, all for a good cause as the team are raising money for charity.

good luck team, please (try) to come back to us in one piece.
